Today I give you the recipe, with photo tutorial, to make a braided bread star. The homemade bread, you know, it is one of the things that gives me the most satisfaction in the kitchen and when I manage to obtain these results that combine beauty with taste, then the satisfaction becomes double, even triple! How to make the woven bread star
Dissolve the brewer's yeast in the milk, then add the warmed melted butter and sugar.
Put the flour in a bowl, make a hole in the center and pour the mixture with the milk.
Start kneading then add the salt.
Knead the dough by completely absorbing all the flour.
Once you have a soft and homogeneous dough, form a ball and cover the bowl with a film.
Leave to rise for two hours in the oven off.
Take the dough and divide it into 11 balls of equal weight, about 70 gr.
Knead 10 balls into long loaves of about 50 cm.
Arrange the horseshoe-shaped loaves one on top of the other in a round, you will get a kind of sun with rays.
Group them 4 by 4 so you can weave them to form the 5 4-strand braids.
In the center, place the remaining piece of dough and cut it in the center
Let the braid rise for another 30 minutes.
Then brush with milk and bake at 180 ° C, in a preheated oven, for about 20 minutes.
Let it cool and serve your starfish.
