Chocolate Cake Recipe by of 14-06-2011 [Updated on 27-04-2018]
There chocolate cake today it is a timeless dessert of Italian pastry that chocolate lovers cannot miss, also because it is one of the best desserts I have made. This fluffy cakeand fragrant, it can be simply served with a sprinkling of icing sugar or with a delicious filling, just like I did. To make it I started from an American recipe with the soft and moist dough as I like it, for the cream instead I made a little nose using Philadelphia cheese and dark chocolate, a perfect combination. I also dedicated some time to the decorations, yes, I wanted a dessert that would have an effect once brought to the table since we were celebrating a birthday. Although I only used tails, chocolate flakes and a few sprinkles of cream scattered here and there, I can say that I am quite happy with the result of the cocoa cake.
You know, on some days, preparing a good dessert seems to be the only possible option to straighten the day, perhaps it does not solve the problems but a good slice of chocolate cake melting for sure it can lift your spirits :) So I leave you to my recipe and wish you a sweet day, basins; *
How to make chocolate cake
In a large bowl put the butter cut into pieces with the sugar and work to cream.
Then add the eggs, one at a time, mixing one well before adding the next.
Add the buttermilk and vanilla while continuing to work with the electric whisk
Finally add the flour mixed with cocoa and baking powder and knead until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Grease and flour a cake pan and pour the mixture inside. Bake the chocolate cake at 180 ° in a preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare the philadelphia cream
In a bowl, work the philadelphia with the icing sugar, the melted chocolate and a spoonful of vanilla essence.
Once you have a smooth cream, add the whipped cream, mixing with a movement that goes from the bottom up.
Allow the cake to cool then cut it into 2 discs.
Fill the cake with half of the chocolate cream cheese
Cover with the second disc of cake exerting a slight pressure so that the filling is distributed evenly.
Cover the entire surface of the cake with the remaining cream.
Now decorate the chocolate cake with chocolate chips and curls and place it in the fridge for an hour before serving.
